Advertising GIM International
GIM International started out as a print magazine in 1986 and soon developed into the multimedia platform it is today, featuring a successful website and respected weekly e-newsletter.
GIM International magazine is published monthly, twelve times a year. The magazine has a worldwide scope and focuses on reporting the latest news and communicating new developments and applications in Geomatics. Its readership is involved in land surveying, GIS, photogrammetry, remote sensing, LBS, Lidar, cartography, GPS/GNSS, cadastres, 3D city modelling and geo-databases.
GIM International defines ‘Geomatics' as encompassing all activities relating to the acquisition, processing, querying, analysis, presentation, dissemination, management and use of geo-data and geo-information. GIM International addresses both technological and managerial aspects of the industry and profession.

Online Advertsing
Online advertising, next to print advertising, provides an effective way to communicate with your (potential) customers and buyers. The frequent appearance of the website (updated daily) and newsletter (sent out weekly), helps establish and build contacts with your target group and multiple individuals within a short period of time. This is very favourable for brand awareness and call-to-action campaigns. Online advertising is recommended as single-approach media, but also as complementary to print advertisements; online advertising will put you in contact with other additional (potential) customers and buyers not reached through your print advertisement.
Website
The GIM International website, http://www.giminternational.com/ offers various ways to
facilitate communication with visitors, all depending on your campaign goals. Are your
campaign goals branding, or call-to-action? A visual advertisement on the leaderboard or
rectangle position will draw the desired attention. If your goal is to inform or call-to-action, a
logo link or advertorial might be considered. Banner advertising is possible in any of the various sections.

- Bleeds must extend at least 3mm beyond trim edge (210x297) on all sides. Use only bleeds in a full-page ad.
General Specifications
- Colours must be defined as percentages of CMYK
- The use of indexed, RGB, spot or pantone colours is not allowed.
- All images must be high resolution (300 dpi) CMYK colour or greyscale; bitmap images must be at least 1200 dpi.
- Do not reduce images less than 20% or enlarge more than 130%. Enlarging imported images decreases the final resolution and may affect the quality of the image.
- Do not stylise fonts. For each style used a printer font must be included.
- Do not use LZW compression when saving an image as TIF(F).
- Do not use POI
