Collaboration on Dutch BGT Project

Orbit GeoSpatial Technologies, Belgium, and NedGraphics, The Netherlands, have announced their intention to collaborate on the national 'Basisregistratie Grootschalige Topografie' (BGT, Key Register Large-scale Topography) project. The companies have signed a cooperation agreement to integrate Orbit GT’s software solutions for mapping into NedGraphics’ portfolio’s for government GIS solutions. BGT is the name of the Dutch project to create a country-wide detailed base map, holding local governments responsible for their relevant part of the country.

According to Peter Bonne, VP Business Development of Orbit GT, this agreement will help many Dutch government organisations to integrate their daily work with their new challenge of maintaining the BGT. Garmt Zuidema, commercial director at NedGraphics said the integration with Orbit GT’s specialised tools for mapping and photogrammetry is a logical extension to provide customers continued support in their challenges.
