Teledyne Optech to Launch New Product at ILMF 2016

Teledyne Optech is attending ILMF 2016 with a brand-new product. The company has announced it will unveil an autonomous mapping system on the ILMF exhibition floor. This system comes from collaboration with its parent company Teledyne Technologies and, according to the Canadian company, will bring a fresh approach to surveying that will open up new avenues in the industry. ILMF 2016 will take place in Denver, CO, USA, from 22-24 February.

Those who attending ILMF will see the real-world efficiency improvements that the Optech Galaxy airborne Lidar achieves using its SwathTRAK technology. By automatically adjusting the Galaxy’s field of view, SwathTRAK keeps the swath width on the ground consistent even in high-relief terrain. In a recent survey, SwathTRAK reduced the number of flightlines required by 40% compared to fixed-FOV Lidars, which are forced to cluster flightlines together in mountainous terrain to prevent data gaps. Also at ILMF will be the Optech Titan airborne multispectral Lidar, which will showcase its flexibility for topographic and bathymetric surveying.

Furthermore, ILMF visitors can learn about the recently released Optech Lynx SG-S mobile survey system and see how the Lynx and Optech LMS Pro combine to create a streamlined and efficient surveying and processing workflow for wide-scale data collection.
