  29/06/2005
Vexcel Corporation (CO, USA) and Airborne Sensing Corporation (Canada) have announced that Airborne Sensing has taken delivery of the UltraCamD large-format digital camera as part of a complete solution from Vexcel.

Airborne Sensing also will use Vexcel's UltraMap Server to archive and manage the repository of digital imagery from the UltraCam, replacing the traditional film archive.

Airborne Sensing adds to a long line of firsts in the area of aerial imaging by becoming the first Canadian company to offer large-format digital frame imagery products to its many clients in the mapping industry.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
