Spatial Direct Marketing in Berlin

  11/07/2007
Reklame Beckmann (Germany) is the first enterprise in the sector of door-drop-marketing in Germany to introduce a micro-geographic planning-tool on the basis of the micromarket-cells. This flexible online Business-GIS is from now on available for customers on the homepage of Reklame Beckmann.

Reklame Beckmann allows its customers to plan the distribution of their leaflets themselves and to coordinate the plan directly with the direct-distribution-specialists of Reklame Beckmann.

On the homepage of the distribution enterprise, customers and interested parties can now plan the direct distribution of their promotion material with the aid of an interactive map, implemented by MapChart.com. Therefore it is much easier for the customers to manage, display and to commission their order. Up-to-date household data will be transmitted to the customer if desired in a counselling interview.

Beside the determination of the areas on the basis of postcodes Reklame Beckmann offers its customers the opportunity to plan on an even more precise scale on the base of market-cells by the microm Mikromarketing –Systeme und Consult GmbH in the area of Berlin and Brandenburg. Therefore it is now possible for the first time to offer detailed structures to direct customers.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
