CG-Survey 9 and CG-Survey Released04/01/2008 |
| Carlson Software has released CG-Survey 9 and CG-Survey 18, featuring hundreds of improvements to help speed and ease the work of land surveyors. CG, which was founded in 1978, has been a division of Carlson Software since 2001. |

Among the top new features of these newest versions of CG-Survey - either for the AutoCAD version, CG-Survey 18, or for CG-Survey 9 with AutoCAD on board - are their VISTA and AutoCAD 2008 compatibility, deed reader, point manager, all new lot labeling routines, shrinkwrap, enhanced CG symbol editor, and new polyline tools. In addition, users get the ability to create 3D face from TIN, edit coordinates in spread sheet format and create a Carlson grid file.
CG-Survey 9 and CG-Survey 18 also feature Network Least Squares Adjustment (NLSA). This tool will simultaneously adjust a network of interconnected traverses with any amount of redundancy. The raw data can contain any combination of traverse (angle and distance), triangulation (angle only) and trilateration (distance only), and GPS vectors. It also can calculate and adjust resections, any combination of distance and angles.
CG and Carlson Software data files are fully compatible, with all drawings being the industry-standard AutoCAD DWG format.
