Croatian Government Purchases Map2PDF

  04/02/2008
Croatian Map2PDF reseller Geofoto d.o.o. has sold the Map2PDF software to the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction of the Republic of Croatia.

The Ministry is a heavy user of GIS, and needed a method of sharing this valuable information with a large number of users who have a range of abilities when it comes to understanding geographic information.

By using the GeoPDF format the Ministry is now able to provide information to the staff and public for urban planning decisions purposes. Additionally, The Ministry has extended the use of Map2PDF, and will also disseminate environmental information.

Geofoto d.o.o. offers photogrammetric, geoinformatics, cartographic and cadastral services since 1993 and employs over 100 people, working on projects across Europe and Africa.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
