| Carlson Software has formally formed a Positioning & Machine Control Division incorporating its machine control software development team, a specialised sales force and global OEM distribution. |

Steve Weber. P.E., of Maysville, Ky., has been named vice president of engineering, research and development for Carlson's Position & Machine Control. Weber, who has been at Carlson for eight years, brings more than 30 years of experience in transportation, structural, civil, geophysical, and mining engineering.
Joining Weber on the team is Randy Noland of Greensboro, N.C., named vice president of sales and marketing and OEM/Business Development. Noland brings more than 22 years of experience developing and marketing innovative positioning hardware and software.
Other members of the Carlson Positioning & Machine Control Division include: Dave Fileccia, technical director, Machine Guidance & Automation, of Sugar Hill, Ga.; Dave Jordan, national sales manager, Machine Control, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Paul Christopherson, project manager, Machine Control Software, and Jonathan Christopherson, programmer/customer support specialist, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; Robert Inman, Field installation manager, of Lima, Peru; and Mark Jones, manager of Machine Control Services of Manitoba, Canada.
