Intermap Technologies and ESRI Enhance GIS with Precision 3D Elevation Data

Intermap Technologies (CO, USA) has announced that ESRI has agreed to distribute Intermap's 3D digital elevation models and images to its customers.
Under the terms of the agreement, Intermap's existing core datasets, including high-resolution digital terrain models, digital surface models, and orthorectified radar images, will be made available to ESRI customers and solution providers. Additional data, based on Intermap's ongoing NEXTMapUSA countrywide mapping program, will be available incrementally as it is processed.
A British satellite company has been helping China following its recent earthquake disaster by providing pictures and images that pinpoint the areas most in need of relief and assistance.
