ERDAS Titan Web Cache Servers

  18/04/2008
ERDAS (GA, USA) has announced the release of the Titan Web Cache Servers, adding performance to data sharing within ERDAS Titan 2008. Recently released, ERDAS Titan is an online solution that allows users and communities to share geospatial data, web services and location-based content internally and externally to an organization, and to a variety of client applications.

When implemented, Web Cache Servers enhance the performance of a Titan GeoHub. A Web Cache Server scales as a function of data volume and users, and supports large numbers of users over a broad geography. Supporting secure, permission-based data distribution, a GeoHub enables an organization to participate as a community in the Titan Network. A GeoHub can support an unlimited number of Web Cache Servers, which may be located in different geographic locations than the GeoHub they serve.

Complete with intuitive navigation tools, ERDAS Titan empowers users to share imagery, terrain, 3D models, location-based content, feature datasets and web services, while retaining digital ownership rights. Using the free web-enabled Titan Client, which includes the Titan Viewer and Geospatial Instant Messenger, a global network of users interact, download and share data. Users then create a MyWorld, a geographically enabled personal space to upload data, set permissions and share content with other users in the network.

Using Total Stations for Indoor Radiation Mapping
