| DigitalGlobe (CO, USA) has appointed Judith McHale and Warren Jensen to the DigitalGlobe board of directors, effective immediately. Judith McHale most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Discovery Communications, the parent company of cable television's Discovery Channel. |

Warren Jensen most recently served as executive vice president, chief financial and administrative officer for Electronic Arts. Previously, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Amazon.com, and executive vice president and chief financial officer for Delta Air Lines and held several positions with General Electric.
Jill Smith, chief executive officer of DigitalGlobe comments: "Judith's expertise in monetising content assets, combined with Warren's strong financial management background will provide expert guidance to DigitalGlobe as the company seeks to capitalise on market growth opportunities for commercial satellite imagery."

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories |

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
