Quadruple Constellation GNSS Choke Ring Antenna18/09/2008 |
| NovAtel (Canada) has introduced its high performance, next-generation GNSS-750 choke ring antenna. The 3D design of the GNSS-750 enables superior low level elevation tracking, with the ability to track satellites as soon as they are visible, down to the horizon and even below. It incorporates an ultra-wideband Dorne-Margolin element and has optimised antenna gain so it can be used with most manufacturers' geodetic receivers. |

As the planned European Union (Galileo) and China (Compass) satellite systems join the existing American (GPS) and Russian (GLONASS) systems, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) networks and reference stations will require the ability to track signals from multiple constellations. The GNSS-750 tracks all four constellations and their signals, including SBAS and L-Band signals for differential services.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories |
|
The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
