Comments (1):

We have tried the RT2-LITE with our OxTS Inertial+ product and it works well. We compared the Inertial+ that was aided by an L1/L2 version to the RT2-LITE to see if both worked well with the inertial navigation system. The L1/L2 relocks faster but the RT2-LITE remained locked near trees when the L1/L2 would sometimes drop out. Roll, pitch and heading from both types of receiver we accurate. Velocity accuracy appeared to be very similar. Great technology at a lower price! bwatts - 25/08/2011 - 16:05

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
