  08/01/2009
DIMAC Systems has been selected to supply two Mexican providers of cartography and geomatics services with the renowned DiMAC WiDE camera. These digital cartography and geomatics players serve the South and Central American market: Argeomática S.A de C.V and CartoData. Both offer photogrammetry, geomatics and digital cartography services to local and international public and private institutions.

DiMAC WiDE camera

The DiMACWiDE is a large format aerial camera (10,500 x 7,200 MP) that provides accuracy and clarity. In addition, the DiMACWiDE features DiMAC's TRUE Color acquisition, seamlessly combining the images from 2 Camera Modules into a single frame, with no post-processing required to produce the final color frame tiff image. The result is a geometrically and radiometrically correct frame that can be used for both photogrammetric and orthophoto applications, with clear visibility of features in both heavy shadows and highly exposed bright areas.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
