| DigitalGlobe has named Rafay Khan as senior vice president of international sales. In his new role, Khan will be responsible for DigitalGlobe\'s international sales operations as the company seeks to capitalise on the growing worldwide demand for high-resolution satellite and aerial imagery. |

Most recently, Khan was the Asia Pacific vice president of business development and sales for NAVTEQ, a world leader in digital map data. During his seven-year tenure, he drove NAVTEQ's expansion in Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Russia.
Khan's appointment, coupled with recent office expansions in London and Singapore, reinforces DigitalGlobe's commitment to provide greater levels of international sales, operations and marketing support to its international territories. In addition, DigitalGlobe recently signed a new lease for expanded office space in Longmont (CO, USA) and new offices in Walnut Creek (CA, USA).

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
