| Kadaster en Openbares registers Curacao handles all the Islands documents regarding new parcels, cadastre and permissions for new constructions. It is more than 2 000 errands per year. The last years they have gone through a long process digitizing all the cadastre registrations the past 50 years and the map has been digitized and now they are using ArcGIS from ESRI. |

To complete the chain from survey to map and also to have a tool for map editing the Kadaster in Curacao did evaluate several applications before they finally selected Mapsuite+ from Chaos systems AB.

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
