Intergraph Commences International Users' Conference16/06/2009 |
| Intergraph opened its annual international users' conference on 15th June bringing together the world's top businesses, governments and organisations for four days of informative sessions and networking among industry leaders. The conference offers more than 100 break-out and panel sessions including case studies by Intergraph customers from around the world, sharing best practices using advanced enterprise engineering and geospatially powered software. |

Intergraph will also recognise customers that have innovatively used Intergraph's software to bring significant benefits to their business or industry with the Icon Award, the company's highest customer honor.
In addition, there will be interactive, hands-on training and technology demonstrations led by Intergraph and its partners at the conference Tech Expo as well as professional certificate programs and structured networking opportunities. Tom Brokaw, one of the most trusted and respected figures in broadcast journalism, will be on stage as guest keynote speaker.
Intergraph 2009 will be held until 18th June at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center at National Harbor in Washington (DC, USA).

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories |

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
