Japanese Distributor Cooperation

SimActive has entered into a partnership agreement with Mirukuru Co for the distribution of its Correlator3D software in Japan. At the Geoinformation Forum Japan 2009 in Yokohama, they announced the purchase of the product by Daiichi-kogyo, a major Japanese consulting firm.
 

 

Correlator3D consists of automated software tools for the production of digital surface models (DSM) and digital terrain models (DTM), the creation of orthophotos and mosaics, and the detection of 3D changes. Correlator3D distinguishes by ease of use and speed.

3D model of a real forest from airborne Lidar

The terrain was prepared from aerial ortho-image of 30 cm resolution. Lidar derived Canopy Height Model was worked at 15 cm resolution. For keeping the uniformity with Lidar derived layers, the ortho-image was used at 15 cm pixel size.
