Webinar on Imagine 2010 Scalability29/09/2009 |
| Experience ERDAS IMAGINE 2010 Scalability is a free webinar on 29th September 2009 at 11am and 8pm (EDT). This webinar illustrates the increased scalability of the package, and its ability to easily handle the size or quantity of drastically increasing data. |
|
An enhancement in this release is product scalability, making key components thread-safe, and threading them, providing ever increasing code efficiency, multi-processing and more. Examples that will be covered in this webinar include using the batch tool to run a number of parallel processes; the RPF production tool running parallel processes with the creation of cells and the multithreaded mosaic tool and pyramid layer creation tools.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories |
|
The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
