Sensing Beyond the Visible12/10/2009 |
| SPECIM, Spectral Imaging, Finland, and Airborne Technologies, Austria, have agreed about collaboration which aims at providing the airborne remote sensing market with turnkey multiple sensor aircraft. Specim is to provide high-performance hyperspectral sensors for the aircraft. |
|
Traditional sensors acquire geometrical information. Hyperspectral sensors acquire detailed information about the condition and chemical composition of targets which could not be captured so far.
Airborne Technologies integrates hyperspectral imaging with other sensors, like laser scanners and digital cameras and installs the sensor package in preferred aircraft.

Using Total Stations for Indoor Radiation Mapping |
|
A total station can be used for many applications. Oak Ridge Associated Universities (USA) uses a total station for indoor radiation characterisation, which enables the team to better perform environmental assessments. This video shows how it is done.
