| With average summer temperatures over 27°C, the risk of forest fires is real and the government of Corinth, Greece, recently selected a consortium of companies to develop a GIS-based risk management system to support their efforts in combating this threat. Within the consortium was Greek GeoPDF reseller; Geospatial Enabling Technologies (GET) who worked with the EMEA distributor Quarry One Eleven to supply Corinth with the TerraGo Technologies’ Publisher software. |

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
