| Geographic information system (GIS) technology users are to gather at the 2010 ESRI Asia Pacific User Conference (APUC) from 3rd to 5th March in Queensland, Australia, to find out the latest in applying GIS technology to today's challenges. For the first time, the APUC will be held in conjunction with ESRI Australia Pty. Ltd's annual national client conference (OZRI) to provide a larger forum for users to connect and grow their GIS knowledge and skills. |

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories |

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
