SAIC Signs with DLT Solutions10/06/2010 |
| Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has executed a reseller agreement with DLT Solutions, a reseller of industry-leading IT products and services, to offer GeoRover software products. GeoRover software products provide customer-focused tools for end users GIS desktop applications. The products are delivered as extensions or plug-ins to the popular ESRI ArcGIS Desktop GIS software. |

GeoRover products are widely used within the Department of Defense (DoD). The agreement with DLT is intended to expand the use of these products to other federal, state, and local agencies. “The GeoRover product line provides solution-based tools and enables customers to extend the use of GIS to a user base that may not use it now,” said Jeff Wilson, SAIC GeoRover product manager.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories |

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
