  18/06/2010
Martin Ehrhardt recently joined Erdas' management team as vice president, EMEA, where he will lead the sales staff and overall business operation of Erdas in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Ehrhardt comes from Definiens in Munich where he has served in executive roles since January of 2003.

Most recently, he served as VP of the Remote Sensing Business Unit. Prior to Definiens, Ehrhardt spent more than 7 years at Autodesk in Germany, where he led a 20-person team as the Head of Strategic Account Sales for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
