PCI Geomatics Signs License Agreement with Rolta29/06/2010 |
| PCI Geomatics has signed an extended technology license agreement with Rolta India Limited. Rolta will develop geo-imaging products and solutions using core PCI Geomatics/Rolta technologies for release to the global market, such as environmental modelling, forestry and natural resources, emergency planning and management, agriculture, security and defence. |

Mr. K.K. Singh, Chairman and CEO of Rolta said, "This strategic technology partnership with PCI Geomatics will enable us to offer end-to-end solutions to our customers globally for applications in mapping and earth sciences, and to provide enterprise-level integration of their organizations' spatial and non-spatial data through Rolta GeospatialFusion."
The agreement also includes ongoing collaboration for PCI Geomatics expertise, which will facilitate Rolta to jump-start development of additional imaging solutions that will augment its portfolio of offerings in the geospatial space, further strengthening Rolta's solid reputation in this field worldwide.

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
