SuperGeo - Cody Corporation Partnership

  30/06/2010
SuperGeo has entered into a partnership with Cody Corporation, who is to distribute SuperGIS series software exclusively in Australia and New Zealand. SuperGIS software is expected to integrate with the GIS/GPS hardware that Cody Corporation is reselling now to form a ‘turnkey solution' for the local users.

Since 1981, Cody Corporation has established a strong distributing network for the Surveying and GIS/GPS market, by reselling rugged handheld computers, total stations, lasers, etc. from several globally reputed hardware providers. Currently, Cody Corporation owns 75 active dealers all over Oceania.

Observing the rapid development of SuperGeo in global GIS market, Cody Corporation intends to distribute SuperGIS series products, especially SuperPad, the full-function mobile GIS software, in the Oceania market. SuperGeo today officially proclaimed the cooperation with Cody Corporation, who will promote the whole series of SuperGIS products exclusively in Australia and New Zealand.

SuperGeo also holds a training programme for the new partner in the headquarters in Taipei, Taiwan, today. "We hope to support our partners first by the newly designed product training program, including the latest features of SuperGIS 3.0 version software." said Willy Wang, the Director of SuperGeo Support Center. "The deep understanding of comprehensive SuperGIS products is the base of future success."

"We wish to provide a ‘turnkey solution' combining the GIS/GPS hardware that we are reselling now with SuperPad 3, which is with fantastic cost and robust functions." mentioned Cody Corporation. "We will also promote other nice SuperGIS software to offer all GIS users in Oceania an excellent GIS alternative."

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
