| The University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has purchased SuperGIS Desktop. The Department of Surveying, Geodesy, and Photogrammetry at the Faculty of Environmental Studies will use the software for the related research and teaching. The students will analyse the collected spatial data from the field by using SuperGIS Desktop. |

The procurement is made by Arinmap Consultants, SuperGeo's exclusive reseller in Nigeria and Ghana. This African company has been cooperating with SuperGeo since the end of 2009 and has had excellent sales performance in the local territory.
Founded in 1960, UNN is one of the oldest universities in Nigeria. During 5 decades, the student population of UNN has grown from 220 to the current 35,000 people, in more than 100 departments with over 1,700 researchers as well as lecturers.

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
