The service combines the commonly-used maps and GIS functions. Users, who do not need to spend much money and time collecting maps as well as maintaining hardware and software, can easily access the map services by SuperGIS Desktop by renting the support as a service. |

SuperGIS Online overcomes the problem that traditional GIS service could only provide a single service. Instead, SuperGIS Online can help users cut costs of data collecting, renting, and maintaining. Three types of services are offered by SuperGIS Online: Data, Function, and Data Hosting.

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
