Workflow Solutions for ALTM and Lynx Workshop

Optech announces its Workflow Solutions for ALTM and Lynx workshop, to be held at the INTERGEO conference in Cologne, Germany, on Monday, 4th October 2010. This workshop will include presentations on Optech's latest hardware and software releases, including the Optech Lidar Mapping Suite (LMS 2.0) Professional Edition, an all-new lidar rectification software designed for the production processing environment.



Developed to push lidar data accuracy this software enables a higher data quality. Using the optical models associated with Optech's laser imaging products, Optech LMS optimises sensor calibration values over the entire project area to generate data output files so accurate that they require no further refinement.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
