SuperWebGIS 3 Support 64-bit Environment

  27/08/2010
Supergeo Technology's SuperWebGIS 3, the newly-released Web map server software, is able to fully support 64-bit operating environments like Windows 7, 2008, etc. Compared with 32-bit operating environment, 64-bit operating environment supports larger capacity of system memory, provides more powerful operating efficiency, and enables the database server to support more Geodatabases to deal with multi-user connections in real time.

Therefore, enterprises can develop a high-efficiency, high-quality, and high-scalability map service in a better environment to effectively share the spatial data with others.

The package gives enterprises the capability to publish dynamic maps and GIS data via the Internet. The scalable structure, support for geospatial databases, complete GIS objects, and various types of web templates can help enterprises publish, display, and share spatial data easily in intranet and Internet. Organisations are able to share geospatial data with others through WWW web services without limits.
SuperWebGIS 3 can be evaluated for free for 30 days.

3D Scanning of Historic Sugar Factories

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
