| Solar Energy Research Institute at National University of Malaysia procured SuperGIS Desktop by SuperGeo Technologies, for analysing and processing the distributed solar energy data in different areas. The package has been extended with several analyst extensions, such as 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, and Spatial Statistical, to process and analyse solar information on the desktop platform with visualisation effects. The platform predicts and displays the potential solar energy distributed in different areas on maps. |

The Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies at the University of South Florida, USA, recently worked with the Florida Park Service on a project to document the remains of several historic sugar-mill sites in the State Parks to create as-builts to be used in preservation and conservation of these resources. The FARO LS 880, along with GPS and total station georeferencing and colour imaging, was used on these projects.
