Book Now for Coast GIS 2011

  31/03/2011
CoastGIS Conference and Exhibition, to be held from 6th to 8th September 2011 in Ostend, Belgium, will focus on how geo-information systems (GIS), Marine Spatial Data Infrastructures (MSDI) and other communications technologies (ICT), plus hardware for data-acquisition and engineering solutions assist professionals in their duties. The exhibition at CoastGIS 2011 is being organised by Geomares Events. Act fast to secure your presence on the show floor.

CoastGIS

CoastGIS 2011 facilitates marine and coastal-zone researchers, managers, government planners and decision-makers and the public in better understanding and sustainably managing their fragile coastal resources.

The coast is where land meets sea, and where many varied disciplines and challenges also meet. Climate change, environmental planning and monitoring, coastal-zone management, urban development, pollution, natural-risk management, flooding, economic impact of marine industries - they all involve the coast.

The CoastGIS International Conference and Exhibition extends beyond just technology and applications to encompass a wider range of subjects including, for example, data access and sharing policies, information infrastructures, planning and socio-economic issues. International exhibitors will showcase their software and hardware during the conference, demonstrations on site are available for all conference delegates.

To book your stand or get more information, please visit www.coastgis.info and go to the exhibition section or contact Geomares Events at coastgis@geomares.nl or +31 514 561854 and ask for Victor van Essen, sales manager.

Using Total Stations for Indoor Radiation Mapping

A total station can be used for many applications. Oak Ridge Associated Universities (USA) uses a total station for indoor radiation characterisation, which enables the team to better perform environmental assessments. This video shows how it is done.
