Optech 500kHz ALTM Pegasus

  04/05/2011
Optech has launched an addition to the range of its multi-beam airborne imaging systems, the ALTM Pegasus HD500 with 500kHz capability. Pegasus combines lidar technology with camera solutions into a single sensor architecture.

According to Michael Sitar, product manager for Optech’s Airborne Survey Products, the measure of a system’s true capability is a function of its collection efficiency versus the quality of the ensuing data sets. “Consistent measurement precision and accuracy, irrespective of target type and size, is what Optech’s clients demand but don’t always get in alternative designs. Pegasus delivers both, but also with the productivity that only a multi-beam active imaging solution can provide.”

Using Total Stations for Indoor Radiation Mapping

A total station can be used for many applications. Oak Ridge Associated Universities (USA) uses a total station for indoor radiation characterisation, which enables the team to better perform environmental assessments. This video shows how it is done.
