| The Institute of Navigation (ION) GNSS 2011 Conference Program and Registration are available on-line. The conference is the 24th International Technical Meeting of the Satellite Division of The Institute of Navigation and will take place from 19th to 23th September 2011 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. This year’s conference will feature a track of interactive panel discussions lead by international experts and policy makers and more than 250 technical papers. |

In addition to the technical meeting, pre-conference tutorials will be offered and the Civil Global Positioning System Service Interface Committee (CGSIC) Symposium will be co-locating with GNSS 2011 from 19th to 20th September 2011. A special workshop on COMPASS will also be offered by the International Association of Chinese Professionals in GPS on Tuesday 20th September.
Delegates have a choice of seven panel discussions including GNSS programme updates featuring Col. Bernard Gruber, commander of the GPS Directorate; Dr. Paul Weissenberg, deputy director general, European Commission; Dr. Xiancheng Ding from China’s Beidou (COMPASS) Management Office; Dr. Sergey Revnivykh with the Russian Federal Space Agency; Dr. Narayanaswamy Neelakantan representing IRNSS; and Koji Terada, representing Japan’s Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) program. A special panel discussion will also debate if LightSquared and GPS can coexist and provide a summary of current status and ongoing activities.
