Support for All Google Map Views16/05/2011 |
| The latest version of eGIS on the GRS-1 and FC-236 supports all of the different Google Map Views that are available such as Satellite View, Hybrid View, Terrain View and of course the well-known Map View as background image within users projects. |
|
"This functionality gives outstanding benefit for all those who don't have access to aerial photography or imagery for their jobsite" said Stefan Naumann, Sales Manager for GNSS Products.
Using the Google Map's terrain view shows the relief of the environment while the satellite view gives a faithful aerial photographic representation of the area. The hybrid view combines the map with the satellite views.
Naumann continued "All Google Map views are transferred in real time via GPRS data transfer so as to be at the right place in the Map View. Our advanced eGIS engine is able to intelligently and rapidly provide the mapping data without any loss of performance even if a fast internet connection is not available".
