KOREC FARO Focus3D Distributor27/06/2011 |
| KOREC, UK, has signed a distribution agreement with FARO Technologies UK to supply the FARO Focus3D Laser Scanner, an instrument which uses laser technology to produce detailed three-dimensional images of complex environments and geometries in a few minutes. |
|
Launched in 2010, the FARO Focus3D is a revolution in 3D Laser Scanning and at 5kg is the smallest 3D scanner ever built. Offering a 120m range and easy touch-screen control, it creates a precise, virtual copy of reality in millimetre-accuracy at a speed of up to 976,000 measurement points per second. The end result is a high-speed 3D laser scanner for detailed measurement and documentation which, when combined with Trimble's powerful RealWorks software, is ideal for a range of applications including Building Surveys, Forensics and as the first step in building renovation for the emerging BIM market.
Andrew Beckerson, KOREC's Director of Sales said, "The FARO Focus3D is a ‘Game Changer' in 3D laser scanning; it is small, light, user-friendly and very competitively priced giving the possibility to open up many opportunities for laser scanning to both new and existing adopters of this technology. When combined with Trimble's powerful RealWorks and TBC software, 3D scan data, including colour images and traditional survey data, are easily combined providing a simple alternative to more traditional methods of data collection."

Using Total Stations for Indoor Radiation Mapping |
|
A total station can be used for many applications. Oak Ridge Associated Universities (USA) uses a total station for indoor radiation characterisation, which enables the team to better perform environmental assessments. This video shows how it is done.
