| ITT Corporation has announced aninitiative to support the integration of its software technology with the ArcGIS platform from Esri. ITT's Industry Solutions will use ENVI tools in ArcGIS to build models and workflows that add image analysis functionality to industry-specific applications for GIS users. The models and workflows will deliver image analysis solutions for natural resources, government, and defence and intelligence applications, allowing GIS users to easily extract meaningful information from imagery for more accurate and timely decision making. |

With this Industry Solutions initiative, ITT Visual Information Solutions is shifting its resources to create industry solutions using image analysis. For example, tools that exploit imagery to map and monitor land cover, map and assess fire damage and determine forest health are being packaged together to meet the needs of forestry professionals. The company's account management teams have been realigned to support the specific needs of users in targeted industries.
ITT plans to roll out tools, models and workflows that solve industry specific problems over the course of the next year.
