VisionMap Reveals Next Generation of A3 Systems19/09/2011 |
| VisionMap, a provider of digital mapping systems, has announced a family of new products extending the advantages of the A3 camera and automatic processing system to a new level. VisionMap now offers a family of large-format digital mapping cameras designed to address specific needs within the geospatial mapping industry. |
|
The industry-standard A3 camera is joined by the new premium camera, the A3 Edge, presenting the largest footprint in the industry. With an incredible 80,000 pixels across track, its footprint is 4 times larger than other vendors' cameras and its imagery collection productivity greatly exceeds other commercial systems. Using new generation CCDs and electronics, A3 Edge collects even more area per hour, in better resolution, providing colourful sharp imagery for large area mapping applications.
Another new product is an entry-level large-format camera, the A3 Core, which was designed with traditional survey aircraft in mind. A3 Core's 40,000 across-track pixel footprint and 300mm optics provide exceptional performance for survey aircraft such as Cessna 402, Piper PA-31 Navajo, AN-2, Y-5 and similar platforms. The A3 Core was designed to allow customers to upgrade to A3 or A3 Edge as their requirements evolve.
All the cameras in the A3 family are coupled with the A3 LightSpeed end-to-end automated photogrammetric processing system. A3 LightSpeed is capable of processing outputs 2 to 5 times faster than the former versions. A3 LightSpeed processing system is a cost-effective photogrammetric workflow that automatically processes hundreds to thousands of square kilometers of A3 camera imagery per day for various mapping applications. The system is also designed to support rapid response applications since it is capable of providing accurate products within a short time line without relying on DGPS stations, ground control points or existing DEMs. Read more about: photogrammetric imagery mapping geospatial Supplier: Visionmap More news from this supplier: Sanborn Selects VisionMap A3 Camera VisionMap Support for A3 in North America VisionMap A3 Version 2.0 A3 Colour IR Digital Camera VisionMap A3 Large Format for Aerodata International Surveys A3 Selected by Meridian Very Large Scale Orthophoto Project Completed Fugro EarthData Selects A3 Largest Database of Canadian Mobile Digital Maps GIS for Direction in Charity Maiden Flight for European Air Survey Plane Dave Lovell Named as GSDI Association's President-elect Blind Study Identifies Most Accurate Demographic Data Land Professionals Need to Adopt Change Quickly SSJ-100 Airplane Crash Site Imagery ESTEIO and SIMEPAR Cooperate on UAV Monitoring and Mapping ENR Top Firms Choose ProjectWise Mobile GIS for Aboriginal Tourism Guide System Comments (0): |

Using Total Stations for Indoor Radiation Mapping |
|
A total station can be used for many applications. Oak Ridge Associated Universities (USA) uses a total station for indoor radiation characterisation, which enables the team to better perform environmental assessments. This video shows how it is done.
