NovAtel GPStation-6 GNSS22/09/2011 |
| NovAtel has announced its GPStation-6 GNSS Ionospheric Scintillation and TEC Monitor (GIS) receiver. This specialty GNSS receiver is integral to ionospheric monitoring and space weather applications. The announcement was made at ION 2011 in Portland, USA. |
|
The GPStation-6 receiver integrates NovAtel's OEM628 measurement engine with a low phase-noise oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO). It provides signal tracking, ionospheric scintillation, and TEC measurements for all current and upcoming GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and Compass satellite signals.
Designed as a replacement to the GSV4004B GIS receiver, the GPStation-6 provides backwards compatibility from both a hardware and software perspective; easing the transition effort of existing GSV4004B customers. Housed in NovAtel's familiar EuroPak enclosure, the receiver provides a communications interface and log outputs compatible with the GSV4004B.
NovAtel is accepting GPStation-6 orders with product shipments planned for the end of 2011. Using Total Stations for Indoor Radiation Mapping |
|
A total station can be used for many applications. Oak Ridge Associated Universities (USA) uses a total station for indoor radiation characterisation, which enables the team to better perform environmental assessments. This video shows how it is done.
