Promising API/FOIF Partnership Agreement

  27/09/2011
Automated Precision (API, USA) and Suzhou FOIF (FOIF, China) have reached an agreement to partner. This partnership brings together FOIF's and API's technology and manufacturing strengths, creating the opportunity for advancement in the construction and surveying industries.

"API's strength in ranging technology, digital imaging and controls plus FOIF's modern manufacturing capability makes this strategic partnership a natural extension for us in the advanced surveying market," said Dr. Kam Lau, President and CEO of API.

While the full details of the partnership have not been released, API will begin as the global distributor of a new line of AP/FOIF surveying products in key international markets. This includes a whole range of surveying and positioning instruments and accessories which focuses on professionals and operators of all skill levels around the world.

The AP/FOIF partnership will also provide global technical support to customers and will see collaboration on marketing and product development, including an AP/FOIF line of construction and surveying instruments.

"The partnership will also lead to a collaborative effort to develop the next generation of advanced precision surveying and geodetic surveying products," said Dr. Lau. API has a portfolio of precision measurement instruments and great engineering depth.

The partnership will first be realised as both companies exhibit together during Intergeo 2011 in Hall 7 on Stand A13, from 27th to 29th September in Nuremberg, Germany.
