| The Netcad international user conference was held in the Kemal Kurdas Conference Hall in Ankara, Turkey, on 28th September 2011. It provided a comprehensive platform for Netcad users from around the world to share their projects and experiences, and it represented an ideal occasion for announcing new products and updates. | |

Netcad held an international conference with its foreign users and business partners from Germany, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, South Africa, Georgia, Croatia, Iran and Rusia. Netcad's domestic partners and users were also invited to the conference and many governmental representatives, managers, executives and GIS practitioners from municipalities, public and private sectors attended the conference.
General manager Serdar Ak opened the conference with a cordial speech, greeting and saluting all the guests from home and abroad. Mr. Ak said in his speech that the world and Turkey have changed since the founding of the company in 1989.
Mr. Ak announced that Netpro 7 and Nettop 8 were already published and Netcad 6 will be ready later this year. It has an infrastructure which is designed from scratch. Also the KEOS, NETIGMA and all other Netcad modules are scheduled to be renewed within 2012.
The Public Projects session started with the "Consolidation Digital Project Portal" presentation of general director of Agricultural Reform Turkey, Dr. Gürsel Küsek. Afterwards, head of IT Department Ibrahim Sanlý from General Directorate of Forestry Turkey made his presentation of "Digital Forest Cadastre Through 2023". The session continued with the presentations of "GIS Database Design and Applications on Private Environmental Protection Areas" by Environmental Protection Agency for Special Areas Turkey, Turkish Coal Enterprises Deputy General Director Mustafa Aktas presented "Software used by TKI (Turkish Coal Enterprises) for Mining Activities and Mining Automation, Design Software Project" and finally Tekirdag Special Provincial Administration presented "GIS Applications with Netcad".
The International Project Session opened after the launch break. Nazým Ismayilov, the director of Cadastre from Azerbaijan State Land and Cartography Committee made his presentation on "Azerbaijan - Cadastre Project" which is currently being handled by Netcad. Afterwards, Netcad's Solution Partner Parsineh Tarhe Atieh Co. general manager Ezzatollah Mohammadi presented the "Interoperable Web GIS of Agricultural Operators' Electronic Identification in Golestan Province" which was accomplished by Netcad & PTA partnership. "Cartography and Netcad in Bangladesh" was the next on this section and presented by director of Defense Survey - Colonel Mahmudun Nabi from Survey of Bangladesh. Netcad's mining engineering tool Netpromine's international success has been expressed by South Africa-Tacmin Group CEO - Sarel Blaauw during his "Mining Software and Netcad's marketing activities in Africa" presentation. Afterwards, German Industry Association of Baden-Württemberg chairman Wolfgang Wolf took a place to present "Collaboration of Netcad and German Industrial Organisations". Business development manager Tatiana Sergeeva from Softline Group informed the attendants about the newly founded relation between Netcad and Russia's biggest software group Softline in her informative presentation of "Russia-Netcad-Softline Group Collaboration and Marketing Activities at fifteen Countries".
At the City Automation Systems for Local Governments session, Trabzon Municipality, Tarsus Municipality, Beylikdüzü Municipality, Sincan Municipality, Ataþehir Municipality and Netcad & Ýstanbul Metropolitan Municipality shared their experiences about Netcad on local governmental area. At the final session Public and University Projects, keynote lecturers and cooperate representatives from Ankara University, Hacettepe University, Kentsel Dönüþüm A.Þ., Temelsu International Engineering Services Inc., Azerbaijani Architecture and Construction University, explained how Netcad added value to their projects.
Plaques and participation certificates for local and international speakers were given in the awards ceremony. Netcad's solution partner in Iran, Parsineh Tarhe Atieh's general manager Ezzatollah Mohammadi was awarded with "Netcad Partner Excellence Award" and a holiday in Turkey, one week for two people in Antalya, in recognition of his success and outstanding performance.
In the evening, Netcad organised a dinner for its guest at METU Viþnelik Facilities including a performance in a grass amphitheatre by a famous local rock band named 'High Five'. On the following day, all the foreign guests and the members of Netcad's International Department joined a city tour. The delights of Turkey's capital city were the last gift which Netcad presented.
