Changes to Blom's Management Structure31/10/2011 |
| Blom has made new appointments and taken the important decision to restructure its business to enable profitable expansion. At executive management level, Blom has appointed three vice presidents responsible for the company's core activities. At local level, meanwhile, Blom has restructured its many offices into five main operating areas: Blom Nordics, Blom Mid Europe, Blom Iberia & Latam, Blom Eastern Europe and Blom South Europe. All regional operating areas will reflect the group's core activities. |

The executive structure is focussing on three sectors, the first one being Innovation & Special Projects. Giovanni Banchini has stepped up to champion the innovation within the Blom Group. Giovanni has over twenty years experience in aerophotogrammetry, remote sensing and geomatics and has worked for Blom CGR since 1988.
Sales & Marketing, with Jan Skybak leading the sales and marketing strategy for the group, is the second focus. Jan joined Blom in 2010 as Managing Director of Blom Spain and has over 30 years' experience in the fields of sales and marketing, bringing a wealth of expertise to his role.
The third sector is Operations, where Dave Fox has taken on the role of coordinating operations and managing the resources available. Dave joined Blom UK as Managing Director in 2010, having previously worked for Infoterra for over 19 years, and has a wealth of knowledge of the survey industry.
Dirk Blaauw and Lars Bakklund, in the positions of CEO and CFO respectively, continue to add value to the company with their managerial experience.
Blom has also identified five core market segments and will strengthen product offerings tailored to these markets. The defined market segments are defence & security, resources & environment, government & public administration, utilities & infrastructure and web & mobile solutions. The aim is to make the company's range of services more accessible and enable rapid delivery of innovative solutions to these target sectors at a competitive cost. Blom will be able to continue in diversifying their products and services yet maintain a strong focus on their customers' needs and future expectations.
