  14/11/2011
The Public Works Department in the State of Arunachal Pradesh (India) is to use SuperGIS Desktop 3 to assist the construction planning and infrastructure data managing. Located in the far north-east of India, Arunachal Pradesh is a gateway to India that is adjacent to mainland China, Bhutan and Myanmar. The Public Works Department in the State of Arunachal Pradesh is a branch of the Central Public Works Department in charge of the construction of roads, bridges and buildings all over the State.

In order to facilitate the efficiency of the construction site managing and infrastructure planning, the Public Works Department hopes to utilise GIS technologies to enhance the spatial analysis and processing. After the recommendation of RSI SOFTECH, the Department selected SuperGIS Desktop 3.

The comprehensive GIS functions for data visualisation, display, analysis, management, and editing help the staff better plan the construction projects by SuperGIS Desktop 3. The output maps with clear geo-information and statistical charts can help the decision makers formulate ideal geospatial policies.
