| More than 800 registered delegates attended the International Lidar Mapping Forum in Denver, Colorado (USA) which was held from 23rd to 25th January 2012. With close to 60 exhibitors and a busy schedule of both presentations and workshops, there was ample opportunity for both learning and networking. | |

Sessions at ILMF focused on GIS/Data Processing, Mobile Mapping and Industry Issues, where the Basics to Lidar Workshop Series had industry representatives explaining the basic principles and opportunities lidar is holding for businesses to novice operators, their managers and purchasers of equipment. ILMF is known for its social aspect as well, with the organisers arranging an evening reception on the exhibition floor and drinks at the Wynkoop Brewery, in the LoDo district of Denver.
The 2012 event marked ILMF's return to the Hyatt Regency at the Colorado Convention Center, after the last show was held in that venue in 2010.
