BeiDou Focus at China Satellite Navigation Conference
The Chinese satellite navigation community came together from 15 to 17 May 2013 at the International Exhibition & Convention Center in Wuhan, China, for the 4th China Satellite Navigation Conference (CSNC). The extensive programme of presentations was accompanied by a large trade show running in parallel.
The theme of this year's conference was 'BeiDou Applications - Opportunities & Challenges', which obviously paid a lot of attention to the new Chinese satellite navigation constellation. The conference attracted around 1,500 attendees, most of whom came from China although some delegates travelled from abroad.
There were many familiar faces among the manufacturers showcasing their BeiDou-compatible products such as OEM boards, receivers, survey equipment and other hardware and software, with industry suppliers keen to demonstrate that they are ready for the opportunities BeiDou is providing.
