Comprehensive GNSS Solutions for International Customers

KQ Geo Technologies

Founded in May 2001, KQ Geo Technologies Co., Ltd. is one of the few A-level surveying and mapping service providers qualified by the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping in China. With over 800 employees and 25 regional offices throughout China, KQ has become one of the leading suppliers of GIS platforms, GNSS technologies and equipment, spatial data services, and GPS technologies

The company is dedicated to providing superior and comprehensive solutions for customers. It founded two research centres, in Beijing and Wuhan, and one research laboratory in the University of Nottingham, UK, offering strong technical support for various applications. KQ delivers many well-proven products which have numerous successful applications in industries such as land, conservation, forestry, water, transportation, communication, electric power, municipal facilities, real estate and navigation. Many of the company's products have received awards in China. KQ's range of complete solutions, all of which have been widely used in China, includes land resource management, 3D urban scenery, real estate management, comprehensive municipal management, road administration, management of underground pipelines and GIS-based e-government.

The company has experienced rapid growth and has been joined by a number of highly qualified senior engineers and managerial staff since it was founded. Advanced technology forms the central core of KQ and the company has achieved significant progress in surveying and mapping, GIS, GPS and RS, with key technical breakthroughs being made in the field of land information in particular.

Recent key developments include, in 2008, KQ's City Cadastre Management Information System and Present Situation of Rural Land Use Management Information System receiving good comments in the evaluation of land-investigation database-management software, which was organised by the Second National Land Survey Office. KQ was the only company to pass four software tests. In July 2009, Vice Premier Li Keqiang visited the company's exhibition stand during the National Geographical Information Application Achievement and Map Exhibition to learn more about KQ's development and product range. In the same month, a ceremony was held to lay the foundation stone for the KQ building in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. Covering 10,000m² area, with the total structural area comprising some 27,000m², employees moved into the new building at the end of 2011.

November 2009 marked the foundation of Wuhan Kanq Digital Instrument Co., Ltd. with an investment of USD10 million, occupying some 12,000 m2 of Wuhan Science Park with the factory covering 15,000 m2. Wuhan Kanq integrates R&D, design and manufacture and is a relatively new entrant in the satellite-navigation device manufacturing industry. The company focuses mainly on R&D for satellite navigation devices, related terminal devices and systems, satellite-positioning deformation monitoring systems, multi-sensor combination of positioning and directional navigation systems, technical service and training.

In response to customer requirements and market demands, KQ has broadened its activities to include the development and manufacturing of GNSS and navigation satellite terminal equipment. Based around superior core technologies, KQ has released GIS data collectors, RTK measurement terminal equipment, deformation monitoring systems and GNSS/INS integrated products.

In recent years, KQ has increasingly been exploring the international market, including presence at international trade fairs such as Intergeo, Germany, and FIG, Morocco, and the company's international sales volume is now showing steady growth. On 25th November 2011, KQ launched its new generation GIS Data Collector and RTK System at Fuzhou, China, during the National Expo for Surveying and Geomatics Equipment (NESGE). KQ aims to be a leading technological enterprise that can manufacture the core devices for GNSS and provide complete solutions for its customers.
