GIM International Publishes 3rd UAS Special

For the third year in succession, GIM International is preparing a UAS Special, an edition of the leading international geomatics magazine totally dedicated to the practical applications of UAS. Among other articles, the 2015 edition will include: a feature on the 3D reconstruction project of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro performed by Pix4D and Aeryon Labs, an article on the application of UAS to generate high-resolution aerial imagery for the mining industry, and a report on the thermal mapping of highways and bridges in the Czech Republic. The UAS Special will be dispatched together with the May issue of GIM International and distributed at various relevant trade shows throughout the year.

According to Wim van Wegen, editorial manager, the interest in this special issue of GIM International has been overwhelming so far. He has received so many requests to publish an article in the dedicated edition that is has been impossible to include them all. The good news is that this has enabled the editorial team to compile a unique magazine covering a wide diversity of UAS applications in the geomatics industry. Wim van Wegen added that he is very much looking forward to receiving readers’ feedback.

There are still a few advertisement opportunities in the UAS Special. To learn more, contact account manager Sybout Wijma: sybout.wijma@geomares.nl
