ASPRS Hot Topics Sessions at ILMF 2014

The International LiDAR Mapping Forum (ILMF), taking place from 17-19 February 2014, in Denver, CO, USA, has announced that the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) will be running special ‘Hot Topics’ sessions alongside the main conference.

ASPRS plays a vital role in the Lidar industry as it is the key organisation that sets data format and accuracy standards for kinematic laser scanning.  With a full morning dedicated to ASPRS on Monday, 17 February, ASPRS will provide an update on activities of the society associated with Lidar and point cloud processing including:

-       The new concept of LAS Domain Profiles

-       The newly created bathometric profile for littoral mapping

-       Accuracy metrics being jointly developed by the ASPRS and the USGS for Lidar calibration and project geometric correction

-       Best practices specifications for mobile laser scanning
