Envisat Support for Lawrence Livermore
Vexcel Corporation (CO, USA) has installed its Envisat/ASAR processing system at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), a scientific centre at which science and engineering is used to break new ground in energy, biomedicine and environmental science. Its Earth Sciences division uses SAR satellite data in various research projects. One of the projects for which LLNL needs Envisat support is the GNEM programme, established to develop and improve seismic techniques to monitor underground nuclear explosions.
