GIM International Attends UAV-g 2013

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Geomatics (UAV-g) conference 2013 is taking place this week in Rostock, Germany. UAS professionals from all over the world will be gathering in the city, which is located close to the Baltic Sea. GIM International will also be present; editorial manager Wim van Wegen will be attending UAV-g and the special edition of GIM International dedicated to UAS will be distributed during the conference.

Wim van Wegen will be on hand in Rostock to discuss editorial opportunities within GIM International and he is also keen to receive feedback on the UAS edition. He will be present for the opening day of the event and will also be attending the morning session of the UAS Airshow on Thursday.

Besides representing GIM International, Wim is also looking forward to informing UAS industry professionals about the upcoming inclusion of UAS on the Geo-matching platform. This independent product comparison website is an initiative of Geomares Publishing – owner of GIM International plus several other international trade publications – and contains information on, and user reviews of, hardware and software for geomatics, hydrography and related fields.

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Geomatics (UAV-g) conference brings together experts in photogrammetry, surveying, robotics, computer vision, artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering and geosciences. Researchers, developers, service and system providers as well as users will be contributing with presentations, posters, exhibitions, demonstrations and discussions to create synergies between research and applications using UAS in geomatics.
